Since Dean’s accident back in May we have kept quiet and allowed him and his family the privacy they had needed. The brilliant news is that he pulled through and is still with us despite the biggest of scares in the initial few days. The bad news is that the nerve damage around his spine is so severe that it appears he will be permanently wheelchair bound due to paralysis from the chest down. Luckily he has the most amazing family around him who have been an absolute rock for him throughout.

He is currently on the road to recovery at a specialised centre in Oswestry before returning home. However, this is where many issues begin. You can read about this on the link at the bottom.

To try and help to combat this, we will be making a team effort to take on ‘The Peak Districts 9 Edge Challenge’. This will see Jane (wife of our Director, Lee), Works Manager, James and close family friend, Jason, take on the full 22 mile route while accompanied by a long time family friend and members of the Kilncare team who will take turns on each segment of the walk in order to raise funds to help Dean’s family.
