THE ELITE-FUSER

The Elite-fuser is the second largest member of the "fuser" family and joins the Hobbyfuser, Cub-fuser, Cub-fuser-D, Pro-fuser, Pro-fuser-D, Deluxe-fuser and Grand-fuser.

The "fuser" family kilns all sit at the pinnacle of their respective market sector in build quality, performance and reliability and the Elite-fuser does the same in its own sector. Two of the main features separating the Elite-Fuser from the rest of the fuser family are it's optional automatic roof vents, which will open and close at your pre-set demand, and the standard Wi-Fi enabled controller.

The Elite-fuser encapsulates 30 years of Kilncare glass fusing kiln manufacturing and experience ensuring that it is at the forefront.

Controller included KCR32CWIFI

The KCR32C is multi-program controller designed for glass, ceramics & pottery use. It is targeted towards glass use with 32 programs each of up to 32 segments. Each segment is a controlled heating/cooling ramp followed by a soak. It is supplied pre-programmed with 9 typical glass programs and 9 typical ceramics programs (which can be over-written).

The slow rate capability of the KCR32C, down to 1c per hour, makes it the perfect controller for complicated glass cycles.

STANDARD ON ELITE-FUSER

The KCR32CWIFi is internally the same as the KCR32C but has the capability to be accessed

and controlled remotely from your mobile device via the Kilncare GATEway app or your pc/MAC.
The GATEway app for your mobile device is available for Android and Apple.

This is one of the most important advances in Kilncare kilns for many years.

Using GATEway you can view how your kiln is running in real time. Stop the

firing or adjust programs all without even being in the same country let alone the same room.

The KCR32WIFI is also fitted with a USB port that allows programs to be entered that way direct from PC if required and also allows us to apply updates and run diagnostics without travelling to your kiln.

App and internet access to view real time status and access data

The optional KCR32C WIFI allows the user to access the kiln in real time from the Kilncare GATEway app or via pc from anywhere with internet access via the Kilncare GATEway on our website. The benefits of this are obvious as there is no longer the need to travel to the studio or work place to see how the firing is proceeding or if indeed the firing is going as planned.

Also in the GATEway, which is unique to each user via password access, there is a firings library where past firings can be stored and named, a notes section and a log amongst other features.

Recessed floor bricks

The floor of the Elite-fuser is made from high grade, lightweight insulation bricks that give both a structurally steady surface to place the work on and a thermally steady base to aid in maximum glass results.

As the bricks are not cemented in, they are easily replaced if required
The Elite-fuser floor is recessed by 40mm.

Quartz Element Heating System

The heating system is in the roof only and utilises the latest technology "infra-red" quartz tube heating elements. This method is extremely hard wearing and strong, yet in the event of an element failure the tubes are both easy and cheap to replace.
The elements are switched off when the lid is opened by an automatic safety switch.

The elements are wound with Kanthal A1, renowned as the worlds best element wire.

Non-ceramic Lid

The boards that make up the chamber are specially produced for us and are pre-fired to 1100c before inserted into the kiln to remove any shrinkage or warping that could otherwise happen. The roof of the lid is made of non-ceramic fiber, a very efficient insulator. This method of insulation removes the danger of brick dust or particles dropping onto the glass, so making for a very clean firing environment. It also makes the Elite-Fuser incredibly resistant to shock damage.

Fast Response Thermocouple.

The KCR32C gets its data from an ultra-fast response, stainless steel thermocouple meaning no lag between the kiln temperature and the KCR32Cs control.
The fact that the thermocouple is stainless steel means it is also resilient to accidental damage.

Angled Vent holes

The front of the kiln has two large vent/peep holes which are closed using spring assisted flaps which house our unique, anti-dust insulation pads which are taken from our larger fusing kiln models.
The vent/peep holes are angled so that the floor of the kiln and more importantly, your glass, can be seen.

Stainless Steel chamber and base

Following the trend of the rest of the Fuser range, the Elite-Fuser's chamber and base are stainless steel. This provides the kiln with a strong, resilient body that will be able to face the heat for much longer without the integrity of the metal becoming compromised due to rust.

Gas Spring Lid Assist

Lifting the lid on the Elite-fuser is aided by two specially designed gas springs that allows opening and closing of lid to be a very easy and light operation.

This makes the kiln completely user friendly but also helps in prolonged life due to the reduction of shock through "heavy" opening and closing of the lid.

Standard roof vents with optional motorised operation

The roof has two vents. The vents are closed with Stainless Steel vent flaps which are lined with insulation pads with an anti-dust covered surface for clean operation.
As an option, these roof vents can be motorised and are then programmed to open or close at any point through the firing cycle and just as importantly, at the end of a cycle when those painstaking 150c or so need to be shifted before the kiln can be opened.
It could make the difference between coming in to a kiln that can be unloaded in the morning, or one that has still got 3 or 4 hours of cooling before it can be opened.

The vents can also be automatically opened at the start of a crash cool then closed before annealing begins.

Stainless steel slatted roof

The breathing stainless steel slatted roof is truly unique to Kilncare and allows for the kiln to cool much easier.

Heavy duty under floor walk mesh structure

Under the floor is where the Elite-fuser excels. Under the brickwork, the floor structure is made from heavy duty walk mesh that expands with heat without distorting, offers superb physical strength and breathes, so, as with the roof of the kiln, helps and aids cooling dramatically.

Ability to split frame for narrow access

The Elite-fuser can be split into 3 parts upon delivery: the base, chamber, and lid. This allows for the kiln to be taken through tighter spaces than otherwise possible, no need for double doorways!

Solid State Relay rapid response control

Within the kiln's main electrical panel is rapid-response solid state relay. This relay does not rely on moving parts to connect or break the circuit to the elements, meaning it generates much less internal heat than your standard relay or contactor. Moreover, the Solid State Relay can click in and out at a much faster rate, allowing for a more precise controlling of temperature.

Optional Inner Shelf Kit

Along with the purchase of the Elite-Fuser, there is also the optional extra shelf kit which includes two 49 x 78cm ceramic shelves, along with 10x 25mm posts.

GATEway app and Wi-Fi capability
